Documentation

Description:
Data for Figure SPM 3 panel (c) from the Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate (SROCC) - Summary for Policymakers. Contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report (AR6). Figure SPM 3 shows projected change, impacts and risks for ocean ecosystems as a result of climate change. The figure contains four panels (a-d), for each the metadata were archived separately. -------------------------------------------- Figure Caption Panel C ------------------------------------------- Observed mean values of maximum fisheries catch potential for the recent past (1986–2005) and projected changes (%) by 2081-2100 relative to recent past 2081–2100 under low (RCP2.6) and high (RCP8.5) greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, respectively ------------------------------------------- Further details: The data in .csv and shapefíle formats was provided by the author Prof. William Cheung. Canada Research Chair (Ocean Sustainability and Global Change) Professor | The University of British Columbia | Principal Investigator | Changing Ocean Research Unit | The University British Columbia w.cheung@oceans.ubc.ca", "Data visualization was carried out by Andrés Alegría (Graphics and Scientific Data Officer at the Working Group II Technical Support Unit Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change andres.alegria@ipcc-wg2.awi.de"]). The visualization process consisted of two steps: 1. Data projection and style using QGIS, and 2. Graphic layout using Adobe Illustrator.
